Don, the store manager believes that women in this situation CHOOSE to be threatened daily and says to us “you choose to have to protect yourself.” He has the nerve to say to me “disarming women who are victims of domestic violence makes them more safe.”

Don’t shop here if you are a True American Texan who believes in the right to bear arms and self protection.

This location is pretty decent. However, while the service is friendly, other locations have friendlier employees and they are more willing to help. The employees here seem displeased that I asked for assistance.

Best advice. Browsing is better than going in for something specific (exceptions include most if not all the classics). You can definitely find something. Don't sell, though. Donate to your local library instead. The payoff is way better.

Don the store manager is an absolutely heartless individual who even shamed me for sharing my story of domestic violence. He has never had his life threatened and thus could care or less about the fact that some women’s lives are constantly threatened.

They have a 30.06 and 30.07 sign telling women who are victims of domestic violence and daily threats to their lives they are not welcome at discount book stores.

Very helpful staff; they are more than willing to assist in finding an item. There is a great selection of books there. The prices are very good; as are the condition of the books. This is where I go, when I am in the market for a book. I suggest Half Price Books to anyone that is in proximity to one.

I went in looking for books for my grandchildren. The store has a great vibe. I came home with a sack full of books and a journal for recording our own stories.

Women who are victims of daily threats to their lives, who have empowered themselves by legally obtaining a license to bear arms of self protection from their assailants, are NOT welcomed at Half Priced Book Store.

Tell Don and Half Prices Books they can keep their books and you can spend your money elsewhere.
